Week 5
The first two photogaphs were taken by using a clear pink vinyl bag. It created a hazy image, and it gave the effect of an old greeting card. The next two were taken using a red plastic square filter. I'm not entirely pleased with the dark effects. I tried to hold it up to a light for a more translucent look, but it ended up being too high in contrast. The last two were taken using plastic bags filled with food coloring, placed in front of the subject. The only difficulty I had, was that the flash caused a bright glare. I had to be very close to the subject for the light to shine through.

Week 3
This week I took more photographs imitating the style of Immogen Cunningham. For the first two pictures of the roses, the light source emanated from the lower left side. One rose was a lighter pink and the other was red. For the red rose, it was altered in photoshop, because the center of the rose was dark and hidden. I used the magic wand tool to select the darker area and brightened the center, while reducing the contrast. For the photograph of the lighter rose, I cropped the image to center the subject.
For the cactus, the light source came from the bottom right hand corner and was shone through the foliage. In this I tried to recreate the style of the Cunningham picture below. The white flower, being the main subject. The light traces the outline of the foliage, which increases detail and interest. In my photo, the center seems to be light, while in Cunningham's the center seems to be dark, however, they complement each other well.
