Here I increased the contrast and saturation to maximum, while only minimally lightening the photo. Below is the original image. This was taken on a cloudy day, with wet mist blowing through the air.

Winter Falls

Hi Everyone, this is a photograph that I took a few weeks ago when there was an interesting ice formation. I altered the lighting, contrast, and saturation. This was cropped from the image below. In the original image, you can see that there is too much of the same pattern and color in the upper left portion of the photograph. I eliminated that and tried to draw the viewer into the picture by adding more contrast and texture. If you step away from the piece and squint a little, you will be able to see some interesting shapes that create rhythm and balance.
